Rome man charged with felony aggravated assault

A Rome man was arrested after allegedly hitting a woman with his vehicle and running from police on Sunday morning, according to a Floyd County Jail report.

According to the report:

Terrin Layne Cammer, 32, of 500 Armuchee Trail caused the woman minor injury when he struck her right leg with the vehicle on Rock Creek Drive. He also fled from Floyd Medical Center and failed to stop when police told him to.

He was charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol and three counts of obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers.

He remained in jail on Sunday evening.
