Laws are changed by the people we vote for, not by asking cops to refuse to enforce laws. I agree that it's a waste of time and resources and the lady who chose to commit a felony should be made to reimburse the taxpayers.

What a waste of money, resources, time, and whatever else! We need to be able to look up to our law enforcement, but slowly and surely they are becoming the pariah of our society. They are becoming the enforcers for the crony capitalists and not the defenders of our freedoms.

This young lady now has a criminal record for something that is going to be legal in the not too distant future. A felony charge for wanting to get high. Cops get high or drunk every day across this country on alcohol. Bunch of hypocrites.

Megan I hope you don't get into too much trouble because it would be a huge waste of taxpayer money. The South will lag behind the rest of the country as far as decriminalizing marijuana. I hope the district attorney prosecuting you is concerned with more serious crimes. I also agree with Drugbytheneck that manufacturing makes the crime seem so much worse. I think that a majority of the police in this town would like to make better use of their time, but they are just stuck enforcing the law whether they agree or not.

Nah, they weren't hibiscus haha. I had 3 plants. 2 of which were male and I wasn't gonna get to smoke anyway. I know that the sex of the plant doesn't differentiate legality, but i digress. I've never been in trouble in my life, and now I'm facing a felony for a PLANT. Nothing man made, something that occurs naturally on the earth.

For real!!! ok well pot is illegal but lets get with the real picture here -who gives a damn about pot , it doesnt make you crazy , it doesnt make you steal from others, and beat up on people. Now on the other hand that METH crap, thats what really needs to be monitored more aggressivly, that stuff is ruining people , families etc . NOW law enforecement folks lets change it up quit wasting tax payer money hunting plants and go get the dope dealers in this area and watch some of this theft of stuff will go down!!!& you already know several dealers but to my amazement you just let em keep on dealing,!wake up floyd county !!!

manufacturing marijuana - just sounds stupid to me.

It's not like you need industrial machinery to make something, you put a seed in the ground, it grows, you smoke it. Or you don't. It's JUST a plant.

Can't we go look for some rapist or thieves? Why do we really care WHAT people grow in their gardens?

Make sure they weren't hibiscus plants please. I've had some that have grown over my fence this year, and I've been terrified someone is going to turn me in for growing pot behind my house - they look just like it.
