Man charged with possession of meth

A man was arrested Sunday afternoon, Jan. 27, after he was found with methamphetamine, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

David Roy Weems III, 32, of 200 Hennon Drive, Apt. B, Rome, was walking near Windrush Drive in the Northwoods subdivision when officers approached him.

Several calls from the area reported a person was seen going up to various houses and Weems match the clothing description of the subject.

Upon questioning, Weems said that he had picked up a needle and had a bag of methamphetamine.

He was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug related objects.

Weems remained in jail Sunday night without bond.
