A Rome man was arrested early Sunday morning after his car skidded off the road and onto the front lawn of the main branch of the post office, according to a Rome Police Department report.

According to the report:

Rumualdo Joel Peralta-Per­nilo, 35, of 24 Paris Drive, was arrested Sunday around 3:42 a.m. on Martha Berry Highway at Coligni Way and charged with DUI alcohol, driving on a suspended license and driving too fast for conditions.

Peralta-Pernilo was bond­ed out of jail Sunday, Feb. 3.
