The library at Georgia Highlands College is hosting a free reception for the public to view paintings by the Pear Street Painters, a collaborative group of Rome and Floyd County artists. The reception is scheduled for today from 6-7 p.m. The exhibit will run through the end of spring semester.

The Arnold Art Gallery at Shorter University is hosting an exhibit of artwork by Delores Surry-Smith through Feb. 28. Surry-Smith will also present an artist’s lecture at 11 a.m. on Feb. 28 in the gallery. The exhibit and the lecture are open to the public at no charge.
