Rome man facing drug charges

A Rome man facing a long list of drug charges was released from the Floyd County Jail on Thursday on a $27,700 bond.

According to jail reports:

Eugene Douglas Gresham, 44, of 507 Moran Lake Road, is charged with failure to keep drugs in their original container, two counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

Gresham was arrested following a traffic stop at Veterans Memorial Highway and Calhoun Road on Wednesday night for failure to maintain his lane.

Police found scales and packaging materials along with the methamphetamine and marijuana. Oxycodone and Lortab pills were also found.
