International Paper’s Rome Mill will host an IP Foundation workshop on Wednesday, March 6 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., in the conference room of the Administration Building located on-site at International Paper. All nonprofits interested in applying to the Foundation are encouraged to attend.

Each year, the Foundation awards thousands of dollars to various organizations in the following focus areas: environmental education—outdoor classrooms, encourage awareness of environment with hands-on approach; literacy—books, reading programs, tools to increase reading; employee involvement—supports those organizations where our employees volunteer; and critical community need—one time gifts that are critical to a community or organization (less than 1 percent of all grants fall into this category).

Application deadline is March 22, 2013 and may only be submitted online at www.ipgiving.com.

For questions or to RSVP, please contact Melissa Free, Human Resources at (706) 236-5359 or melissa.free@ipaper.com.
