Despite seeing the starting pitcher last just two innings, Stillman was able to come from behind against the Hawks with a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth to win, 5-3.

Shorter (1-10) got out to the early lead by scoring twice in the second inning off of Tiger starter Connor Acton, before forcing him from the game.

The inning started with a Jesse Gavigan single to center field before he was moved to second on a Jacob Forrest sacrifice bunt. Walker Borneman singled to right field and Gavigan was able to score to make the game 1-0. After a Darrius Jennings single, Cal Hardie drove in Borneman with an RBI single to center field, giving the Hawks the early 2-0 lead and forcing Stillman to change pitchers after the final out of the inning.

Stillman scored twice in the fourth and once in the fifth. In the fifth, Stillman scored when Chris Brown crossed the plate on a passed ball from the Hawks catcher, giving the Tigers a 3-2 lead.

In the Hawks part of the eighth inning, Michael Miranda started things with a single to left field and ended up at third after a Gavigan double to center. Forrest singled to score Miranda, ending the day on the mound for the second Tigers pitcher, with the score tied 3-3.

A double play and strike out from Daniel Sharp once he entered the game was enough to earn the third Tigers pitcher the win. Stillman (5-5) scored twice off of Micah Thompson in the eighth before Sharp set down the Hawks with a pair of strike outs and a ground out back to the pitcher to end any chance for a ninth inning comeback.

The Hawks got three runs on eleven hits but were hurt by three errors on the defense.

Miranda, Gavigan, and Jennings each collected a pair of hits.

Russell Crosby got the start on the mound, going five innings while allowing five hits and a pair of earned runs and only yielding one walk. Thompson finished the effort with three innings of four hit baseball while striking out one.

The Hawks are off until next Tuesday, February 26 when they travel to Columbus State for a 4 pm first pitch.

With the defeat, BC dropped to 3-5. The Bobcats, which took two of three in the series, improved to 2-1.

In the second game, Berry rallied from a three run deficit to tie, 4-4, in the sixth inning. TC Boyd hit a sacrifice fly to score Kevin Scott for the tying tally. Scott had singled to lead off the frame.

Bates plated the eventual winning run in the seventh. Christian Champion allowed a bases-leaded walk that scored Griff Tewksbury.

Yet the Vikings leaded the bases and got the winning run to second base in their half of the inning. With one out, however, Ryan Smith hit into a 643 double play to end the game.

In the first game, Bates scored four runs off of starter Casey Gray and never looked back. Gray pitched one inning and took the defeat.

Berry scored its line run in the fourth inning. Doug Heath reach base on a fielder's choice. A few batters later, he came around on an RBI ground out by Devin Skelton.
