Woman charged with theft by taking

A Rome woman remained in jail Friday after she allegedly took a van without permission, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Darnisha Callier, 28, of 683 Moran Lake Road, was arrested Thursday after she took the 1995 white Ford Windstar van from a Moran Lake Road address.

In addition to theft by taking (motor vehicle), Callier is being held on two probation violations.
