What is the primary purpose of your business? To serve guests great food in a cool, casual environment.

What is the business background of the owners? I’ve been in the restaurant industry for 10 years and in retail, customer service related positions for 20 years. I also own the Rome Fuddruckers.

Why did you start (or purchase) this particular business? I felt that there was a void in this segment of dining. Seafood was not represented very well in Rome.

What makes your business unique? I think that it offers fresh seafood done well, with all homemade sauces and recipes. It’s a different type of restaurant for Rome. We also have the Dock, a waiting area/cocktail area where customers can sit and have a cocktail while they wait on their table in the event we’re full up.

What do you enjoy most about your chosen profession? Taking care of people, that’s what we do!

What has been the biggest or most interesting challenge to overcome as a small business owner? The biggest challenge is identifying and keeping good people. It has also been a challenge to develop a concept that is profitable with the increased costs of commodities.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers? I would just encourage people to come out and give us a try. I think once they do they’ll enjoy the environment and love the food. We also have banquet facilities for large groups, parties or meetings.
