Calhoun man charged with molestation

CALHOUN — After being on the run for 13 days a Calhoun man has been arrested on child molestation charges.

Angel Esqueda, 27, is charged with three counts of child molestation and one count of felony sexual battery against a person under 16.

The sheriff’s office received a report on Feb. 5 of child molestation against an underage girl.

An investigation was opened and according to authorities the events were alleged to have taken place at a private residence near the Newtown community between June 2012 and this month.

Esqueda was arrested Wednesday at a Neal Street apartment in Calhoun.
