3 Romans face drug charges

Three Romans face felony drug charges after authorities say they sold marijuana to a “witness,” Rome Floyd Metro Task Force reports state.

Richmond William Booth, 21; Darrell Lamar Wise Jr., 24; and Dominique Xavier Smith, 21, each face charges of possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Wise and Smith also face a charge of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and Wise faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, records state.

According to reports, the suspects met about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday with a witness at 5561 New Calhoun Highway and agreed to sell marijuana. The suspects were then arrested.
