Rome police took a Rome man into custody early Saturday morning after he initially ran from them, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Christopher Robert Graham Jr., 20, of 112 Ashland Park Blvd., fled on foot after police approached him. Officers caught him behind 2115 Shorter Ave. after a short chase.

A search uncovered several types of pills and suspected marijuana. He was originally thought to be involved with an earlier incident where several suspects fled from police, but he was cleared of those suspicions.

Graham was charged with felony counts of possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers and drugs not in the original container.

Graham remained in jail Saturday night without bond.
