The restaurant will be located at 18 Broad Street in the heart of Cave Spring, a property that that has been home to numerous restaurants through the years, most recently, the Water Club.
“When Bennett’s went out I said I would love that building, so it’s been a dream that’s been on hold for a lot of years,” Wentz said. “Now seemed like the perfect opportunity.
“The menu will be like a steak house grill, with several steaks, 100 percent Angus,” Wentz said “We’ll also have great chicken dishes and seafood.”
Wentz said she would also have a lineup of appetizers that will be different from the typical appetizer menu. “Everything will be made in-house fresh. Fresh salad dressings, fresh dipping sauces, fresh salsa, all of it,” Wentz said.
Wentz has also picked up the paperwork from Cave Spring officials to begin the process of obtaining beer and wine pouring licenses for the business.
Cave Spring has really embraced it,” Wentz said. “We are very anxious for her to open up,” Cave Spring City Clerk Judy Dickinson said. “She’s doing everything the right way.”
