Rome police are investigating several shots fired into a car outside a Reece Street home early Thursday, reports state.

According to police, officers responded about 12:05 a.m. to reports of shots being fired. When they arrived at the Reece Street home, they learned four shots had been fired into a 2002 maroon Lincoln LS parked outside.

Four bullets entered the car on the right side. Police say they found two of the bullets.

The car’s driver, who was inside at the time, said she saw a vehicle speed away from the house immediately after the shooting, reports state.
