Police: Man gave fake name after traffic stop

A Rome man remained in the Floyd County Jail on Monday morning facing a felony false statements or writings after he lied to police about his name during a traffic stop, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the reports:

Ricardo Ybarra Jr., 19 Wilma Drive, was stopped early Monday morning on Turner McCall Boulevard.

He is also charged with misdemeanor driving while suspended or revoked and misdemeanor given a false name, address, or birthdate to law enforcement officer.
