A white Chevrolet pickup truck and a green Jeep Liberty SUV are also involved in the wreck.

Police say Yuyuki Lopez Granadas, of Dalton, who was driving the Jeep ran the red light while going eastbound on John Maddox.

The deputy involved was identified as Abraham Galvan. Galvan and a prisoner, who was in the back of the car, are being checked out for injuries.
