Young Harris College student Richie Heyward, a sophomore music major from Rome, will perform at the YHC Guitar Ensemble concert Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Susan B. Harris Chapel on the YHC campus. Heyward is a graduate of Unity Christian School and the son of Norman and Loresa Heyward of Rome.

The eight-member student ensemble will present “An Evening with Bach.” The ensemble will perform arrangements and transcriptions of J.S. Bach, featuring settings for guitar duo, trio and quartet. A highlight of the concert will be a performance of the first movement of Bach’s Sonata BWV 1029 arranged for six guitars.

Heyward will be featured during “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring,” the 10th movement of the cantata Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben, BWV 147.
