Report: Man attempted to hit children on South McLin Street while driving

Officers arrested a man Sunday night after he allegedly tried to run over three juveniles on South McLin Street in South Rome, according to Floyd County Jail reports.

According to the report:

Thomas Bernard Kinney Jr., 24, of 18 N. Blanche Street, Rome, attempted to hit the children around 10 p.m.

He was charged with three counts of felony aggravated assault along with misdemeanor counts of driving while license suspended or revoked and reckless driving.

Kinney was still being held in the Floyd County Jail Mon-day morning on a probation violation.
