A candlelight service and moment of silence to remember Alzheimer’s patients is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the Town Green.

“Rome Remembers” is the replacement for the annual Memory Walk that was canceled because of rainy weather in September.

Light refreshments will be served, and entertainment will be provided by Janice Bagley. There also will be a silent auction.

Participants who had raised money for the Memory Walk are asked to bring all the funds they raised to the candlelight memorial. Those who have raised at least $150 and have not yet received a T-shirt can do so at the event.

Candles will be provided.
