North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation’s 2011-2012 Howard Baker Memorial Scholarship was awarded to three area students.

Alexandria Moore, an Armuchee High School graduate, will attend Dalton State College. She is the daughter of David and Andrea Moore, of Armuchee.

Laurie Thompson, a Trion High School graduate, will attend North Georgia College and State University. She is the daughter of Will and Marcia Thompson, of Summerville.

Parker Davis, a Calhoun High School graduate, will attend the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is the son of Russell and Larissa Davis, of Calhoun.

NGEMC in partnership with the Tennessee Valley Authority awards the $1,000 scholarship to one senior from each of the seven counties to which is supplies electricity.
