Two adults and four children were sent to local hospitals following a two-vehicle wreck that occurred on Redmond Circle in front of the Coosa Valley Credit Union on Monday just before 4 p.m.

According to Aaron Thacker of the Rome police:

A gold Toyota Camry was heading west on Redmond Circle in the inside lane as the driver of a gray Dodge Stratus was pulling out of the bank parking lot. The Dodge pulled out in front of the Toyota and was struck.

Thacker was unable to provide names for the drivers at the time of the wreck.

The driver of the Camry was taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment and the driver of the Stratus, along with four children passengers, were taken to Redmond Regional Hospital.

Thacker said the children were not hurt, but were taken to the hospital for a check up.

This is why we need a redlight or something to make this area safer. Someones gonna get killed pulling out from here.

Not if they aren't stupid. The problem isn't the lack of lights, it's the lack of patience. If we put a light there, we will end up with a ton of congestion in the area that isn't necessary.

Stop and wait. When it's actually clear, go. It's easy.

A light isn't going to fix the problem. There are accidents all the time at intersections with lights. People just need to use there head and think about safety when driving.
