Air conditioner stolen from business

Rome police are investigating the theft of an air conditioning unit from a Perkins Street business Friday, according to a Rome Police report.

According to the report:

The victim told police someone came to the business on Monday and took half the unit and removed the remainder of the unit Friday morning. The thief also took a mortar concrete pan that was an antique that covered the unit.

The victim told police both the pan and the air conditioning unit were valued at $1,060.

There was no further information in the report.
