Barnsley Gardens Resort (www.barnsleyresort.com) announced today the appointment of Michael Gordon as General Manager. Mr. Gordon will oversee all operations of the award-winning Georgia resort and build upon the standards of service, excellence and luxury for which Barnsley Gardens Resort is known.

“I would like to thank the Saul family for this opportunity,” said Mr. Gordon. “It is an honor for such a prolific property as Barnsley Gardens Resort to bring me onboard. I look forward utilizing my leadership skills to further enhance the resort as well as grow business.”

Gordon brings more than 25 years of experience with some of the country’s finest properties to Barnsley Gardens Resort. During his distinguished career, Gordon has held executive level appointments with The Greenbrier in W. Va, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company (with in-market experience at The Lodge at Reynolds Plantation), Crestline Hotels & Resorts, The Colony Beach and Tennis Resort in Longboat Key, Fla, and most recently with The Mansion on Forsyth in Savannah, Ga.

Gordon has also served as president of the West Virginia Hospitality and Lodging Association and as a board member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association. As a testament to his capabilities, Gordon achieved the esteemed AAA Five Diamond Award at four of the hotels he managed.
