Church loses lawn equipment to theft

A Shorter Avenue church official told Rome police that push mowers, a weed eater, a backpack blower and other lawn equipment used to keep up the grounds have gone missing.

According to Rome police reports:

The official told police that the items were located in an outbuilding on an empty lot across from the church and that a lock had been pulled away from the building to gain entry.

Police did not report the cost to replace the equipment.
