Ashley Nicole Horton and Andrew Robert Hoban were married at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Belle Terra in Rome.

The bride is the daughter of Brenda Horton, Stanley E. Sutton Sr., and the late Gary S. Horton, all of Rome. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John William  Hoban III of Armuchee. 

The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Dillard of Dalton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Weldon L. Horton of Rome. The groom is the grandson of Curney Camp and the late Betty Jewell Camp of Rome.  He is also the grandson of . Ara Sue Hoban and the late John William Hoban Jr. of Rome.

The Rev. Daniel Hyde of Armuchee performed the double-ring ceremony under an iron garden arbor. The wedding ceremony was held lakeside surrounded by outdoor water gardens. 

The maid of honor was Laura Howard of Rome. Bridesmaids were Tiffany Horton of Rome, Traci Culpepper of Armuchee, and Haley Turner of Cartersville. Attendants wore their choice of formal gowns in midnight blue. Cousin of the bride, Maggie Dillard, of Armuchee was the flower girl. She wore an ivory dress with a satin sash and a tulle skirt. She wore a headband accented with crystals and carried a basket of pale pink rose petals.

John William Hoban III, the groom’s father, served as the best man. Groomsmen were John William Hoban IVof Armuchee, brother of the groom, Anthony J. G. Wright of Armuchee, Lee B. Carter of Rome, and James Elliot Coble of Rome.  The groom and groomsmen wore black suits with navy ties. 

The bride, given in marriage by her mother, was escorted by her brother Gary Wayne Horton of Rome. The bride wore a strapless, lace gown with a scooped neckline. The waistline was defined with an organza sash and a bow adorned with a crystal brooch. The gown featured an ivory, fitted bodice that flowed into an A-line silhouette with five, lace tiers each trimmed in organza. The lace tiers extended into a chapel-length train embellished with alternating crystal and stain buttons. The look was completed with a cathedral-length veil with embroidered lace and scalloped edges.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Belle Terra’s conservatory. Refreshments included the bride’s three-tiered cake with butter cream icing and raspberry filling. The cake was topped with pale pink roses matching the bride’s bouquet. The groom’s cake was chocolate with chocolate icing. 

The evening before the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Havenshire House at Belle Terra. Other pre-nuptial parties included a miscellaneous shower given by Laura Howard, Donna Howard, Nicole Reese, and Debbie Hicks hosted at the home of Blanchard and Donna Howard, a kitchen and recipe shower hosted Tiffany Horton and Kelly Dillard of Armuchee, a shower hosted by the bride’s co-workers, and a shower given by Anne Hoban, Traci Culpepper, and Jennifer Wright. 

The couple now resides in Armuchee.
