STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (AP) — DeKalb County police are investigating a home invasion in which armed men stole thousands of dollars of recording equipment belonging to a local rap group while they were away at a show.

Members of SMG tell CBS Atlanta that valuable recording equipment was stolen, including a hard drive which contained tracks on which the group collaborated with other artists.

Authorities say the crime occurred around 1:30 a.m. Friday, when the home invaders held a woman at gunpoint as they ransacked the home and two recording studios inside.

The group was performing at a local club. Group members say they believe the suspects likely knew they would be away from the home during the heavily promoted concert.

The group is offering a $10,000 reward for recovery of the equipment.
