Floyd County Homemakers’ Council presented a gift to Margaret Gayler, retired Floyd County Extension Service agent, for her continued dedication and support of the individual homemakers club and council.

Mrs. Gayler organized the “Christmas in November” homemakers’ bazaar, being held for the 53rd year in November 2012. Mrs. Gayler helped publish the first of eight editions of the homemaker council cookbook, “Floyd’s Finest Foods.” The original 1960 cookbook was reprinted in 2002. Mrs Gayler is writing a book about the history of Floyd County Homemakers Club.
