IF MY DADDY, Emory Jamar Towe was still living, I would most certainly wish him a Happy Father’s Day Sunday and spend time with him on this special day. He is in heaven now, having passed away at age 52 with colon cancer. I certainly miss him and think of him so very often, but knowing where he is, free from cancer and pain and in the presence of our Lord, I have comfort and peace, knowing I will see him again.

Until then...Dear daddy, Father’s Day is this Sunday, June 17, and I just wanted to write you a letter and tell you a few things. So very much has changed in the world since you passed away in 1991.

Our country has become so open to accepting immorality, and churches are becoming more tolerant of letting things go and not standing for the truth and right. Families are torn apart, children are being abused and killed and nothing seems to faze anyone, anymore. You often wonder, where are peoples morals and common sense?

Oh, how I miss your sparkling blue eyes and your sense of humor! You ability to do anything pertaining to automotives, electrical, carpentry and painting was always appreciated! You were content on the lake in your bass boat fishing, pulling your travel trailer down the road or helping someone and no matter where you chose to be, you told others about Jesus. You were a family man who loved his family and when you passed away, it was a great loss, not just for your family but for your countless friends.

Thank you for memories that I will always cherish! Happy Father’s Day, Daddy in heaven! I love you!
