Southern Floyd County will soon be home to a new plant nursery.

Willow Creek Landscape Supply is scheduled to open in mid-March on U.S. 27 South, near the highway’s intersection with Eden Valley Road.

Russ Head, owner of the new business, is opening his own store after working in The Home Depot’s garden supply department for several years.

Willow Creek will carry plants, trees, soils, mulches, bird feeders and water garden supplies — as well as some unique wood carvings.

“My mother-in-law does carvings with a chainsaw,” Head said. “I’ve got one of a bear holding a trout ... (Her work) is very detailed.”

The business can be phoned at 706-235-4356.
