Large amount of cable stolen in West Rome

Rome police are investigating the theft of welding cable from a home in West Rome.

According to Rome police reports:

A man called officers Saturday after returning to his residence on Coosa­wattee Avenue and discovering that 300 feet of welding cable was missing.

The cable was apparently taken sometime between 12:30 Wednesday afternoon May 23 and 12:30 Saturday afternoon May 26.

Investigators did not place a value on the missing cable.
