Barney and Hilda Mason of Subligna, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married Jan. 13, 1962, in Knoxville, Tenn.

Mr. and Mrs. Mason were both born in Tennessee but have lived in Georgia the past 41 years.

They attend the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Summerville.

Mr. Mason retired in 2003 from Frito Lay. Currently both Barney and Hilda work as a team for Crossmark, Inc. in Calhoun.

They have two daughters, NeeNah Yarbrough wife of Tony Yarbrough, Rome, and Ginger Stafford wife of Simon Stafford, Tunnel Hill and four grandchildren, Porter Yarbrough, Harrison Stafford, Landis Yarbrough and Westin Stafford.

An anniversary reception was hosted their daughters at the Thorton Recreation Center in Armuchee.
