Members of the Floyd-Polk-Chattooga Medical Alliance recently donated $585 to Floyd County CASA, a nonprofit organization which trains volunteers to advocate for the best interest of foster children in the Juvenile Court system. Alliance President Monisha Patel presented the check to CASA Program Director Sue Lagermann “for the wonderful work” CASA volunteers do. The next CASA volunteer training session begins next week with a one-hour orientation at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the CASA office in downtown Rome. To register for the class or for more information on becoming a CASA volunteer, visit the website at www.floydcountycasa.org or call 706-235-2272.
