The school's first capital campaign raised more than $44 million, including $8 million in the last six months. The drive was called "Living Our Values: The Campaign for North Georgia."
Almost $7 million has been contributed specifically for student scholarships since the campaign began in 2007, and 40 new scholarship funds were established. President Bonita Jacobs says creating scholarships is one of her priorities.
The school gets less than 50 percent of its operating budget from the state. The rest comes from tuition, fees and private contributions.
Located in Dahlonega, North Georgia is one of six senior military colleges nationally. It has a nationally recognized Corps of Cadets.
