A Rome woman called local police over the weekend after learning that she had been a victim of debit card fraud.

The victim said that someone had used her debit card back on July 13 to make a $2,005 purchase of a night scope through Brownell’s, a sporting goods company, which specializes in firearms related gear.

The scope was delivered to an address in New York City.
