A Rockmart man has been charged with felony theft by taking, reports stated.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

William Jeffrey Swift, 48, of 891 Bellview Road, was arrested late Wednesday.

Swift is accused of taking $1,571 to purchase auto parts from a man and never buying the parts.

He was released from jail Thursday.
