It has not yet been determined if former Calhoun football player Da’Rick Rogers will receive any disciplinary action for his alleged involvement in a barroom brawl which took place early Friday morning in Knoxville, Tenn.
Rogers was one of several football players from the University of Tennessee involved in the incident, and Tennessee head coach dismissed rising sophomore Darren Myles, Jr., from the team on Friday night. The coach also indefinitely suspended sophomores Greg King and Marlon Wells.
John Brown, Denarius Moore, Montori Hughes and Matt Milton were all linked to the incident in some fashion, but none were charged by police or reprimanded by Dooley.
Rogers was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, but wasn’t specifically mentioned during a press conference Friday night in which Dooley said he was dismissing Myles for his involvement.
The fact that Rogers was not mentioned may lend validity to the possibility that the receiver was attempting to keep the peace during the incident, according to the AP.
Rogers and one of his teammates were video taped by a camera crew as they left the Knoxville jail on Friday afternoon.
