Rolater Park hosts Cave Spring Arts Festival June 9 and 10

Arts, craft, food and fun are scheduled to fill Cave Spring’s Rolater Park June 9 and 10 when the 37th Annual Cave Spring Arts Festival returns to the park.

Festivalgoers will have the opportunity to visit 55 booths displaying and selling various arts and crafts including jewelry, pottery, woodwork, painting, photography, hand-blown glass, furniture, leather works and baskets.

Aside from the visual aspect of the festival, visitors will also enjoy the tastes and smells from a variety of food vendors including home-made ice cream, fried pies, sausage, barbecue, Italian ice, pinto beans and corn bread as well as gourmet all-American and exotic foreign treats.

Entertainment during the two-day festival will include music by Cat Sellers as well as folk musician Gary Greene and gospel vocalist Donnie McCain. Storyteller Debbie Little also will entertain.

The festival runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 9 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 10.

Entry fee to the festival is $4. Children under 12 enter free. Funds from event will go to the maintenance and management of the historic buildings in Rolater Park and the Presbyterian Church on Alabama Street in Cave Spring as well as to work on the Cave Spring cabin.
