The turning point: Will Skinner led off the 14th inning with a base hit to left. Later in the inning, Skinner scored the winning run thanks to a Lexington error.

Who did what for Rome: Skinner went 4-for-6 scoring three runs and driving in one run. Robert Hefflinger had two hits with one of those being a home run, and Abner Abreu drove in two RBIs.

On the mound: Ryan Weber started and gave up six runs in over five innings of work. Jarrett Miller (2-0) got the win after pitching the final four innings only allowing two hits while striking out six.

Game notes: Lexington committed seven

errors, and the teams used 11 pitchers

combined. The win

ended Rome’s six-game losing streak.
