How it happened: The Braves owned a 9-2 lead after three innings, then added eight more runs in the eighth.

Who did what for Rome: Tony Mueller was 4-for-5 with three runs scored, a double and an RBI. Fernando De Los Santos had a double and two RBIs, William Beckwith was 2-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBIs, Robby Hefflinger was 3-for-5 with two runs scored, a double, a home run and five RBIs. Also, Kyle Kubitza had an RBI and two runs scored, Brandon Drury was 2-for-5 with a run scored, a double and two RBIs, and Chase Anselment had three RBIs.

On the mound: Wilson Rivera earned the win and improved to 2-0 on the season. He gave up two hits, one earned run and struck out three.

Game notes: The Braves own a 4½-game lead over Asheville and a 6½-game lead over Lexington in the Southern Division of the SAL standings.
