Authorities said the individual, who was believed to be armed, was involved in a wreck on nearby Mathis Road earlier Sunday evening and then ran to his house in the 1700 block of Pleasant Valley Road.
Traffic along Pleasant Valley Road was detoured during the standoff.
Police were still trying to talk to the individual inside the house at about 11 p.m. Sunday night.
