Claws and Paws fundraiser offers seafood and meat to benefit local animals

The Claws and Paws is once again taking seafood orders as part of their annual fundraising effort.

The organization is comprised of concerned animal lovers and attempts to raise funds to aid local animal welfare organizations.

This year marks the third anniversary of the popular seafood and meat sale. Fresh jumbo sea scallops, wild-caught East Coast shrimp (200 lbs. ordered specially caught for this sale), Yellow Fin Saku tuna, Creekstone Black Angus tenderloin and fresh turkeys are just a few of the items available this year.

The proceeds from the sale will benefit Floyd County Animal Control and the Sterile Feral.

Specifically, funds will be used to install heat and air to the puppy and kitten room at Animal Control and for an anesthesia machine so that Sterile Feral can provide low cost spaying and neutering procedures.

Orders are due by Nov. 17th and pick-up will be on Saturday, November 20th at State Mutual Insurance located at 1352 Redmond Road.

All turkey orders will be available for pick-up at Harvest Moon on Nov. 23rd.

buy a dead animal to save the life of another? kinda like selling cigarettes to raise money for the Cancer Society.
