The Shorter University Theatre Department's production of "The Trojan Women" opens tonight, Feb. 17 at Callaway Theatre starting at 7:30 p.m. The Callaway Theatre is located on the Shorter University campus.

A tragedy written by Greek playwright Euripides and translated by Edith Hamilton, "The Trojan Women" follows the fates of of the women of Troy after their city has been sacked, their husbands killed and their families are to be enslaved.

Additional performances are Feb. 18-20 and Feb. 24 to 27. Thursday through Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. while Sunday performances begin at 2:30 p.m.
