A Lindale woman was thrown from her Chevrolet pickup after hitting a tree on Maple Road on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 27, police said.

According to Cpl. Chris Fincher of the Floyd County Police Department:

Amanda Garrett, 36, was traveling north on Maple Road when she went off the road, over-corrected, hit a tree and stopped in a yard on the 2400 block of Maple. She was taken to Floyd Medical Center where she was in stable condition Sunday night, according to the hospital.

Fincher said Garrett was cited for DUI and failure to maintain a lane.

Voter,

How do you figure? Go back and do your research. Looks like crucible has a stalker.

Mipoco,

I'm exercising the same rights that you are championing, ie; free speech.

I never tried to deny you your right to say anything. Where did you read that in my post?

As far as I'm aware, nobody died and elected me moderator, do you know something that I don't?

May I ask why you need to know my purpose in life and how that information relates to this conversation?

By all means, put me in your ignore bin.

Have a nice day.

Mipoco,

Clearly you posted because "you wanted to". I just wonder who rattled your cage and then had absolutely nothing to contribute except some cliche. Waaaaah.

Does anyone know if this woman has children?

Mipoco,

Why do you feel the need to chime in and state the obvious?

FormerRoman,

I get ya with the username, self-admitted at that!

richardcranium,

I don't need you to explain to me why you said what you said. Thanks anyway, but your words really need no explanation.

You do, however, seem like a smart feller.

What am I suppose to do when yet another sad case proves the rule? Sob and cry? I think not. I point-out, again, that there are rules and regulations governing our behavior that actually make sense. They often save lives, too. In this case it almost certainly would have saved embarrassment. 'Course there's that pesky DUI thing going on, too.

That pesky sealbelt law rears it's ugly head, again.
