Report: $29,584.06 in lottery money taken from store

Rome police are investigating the theft of more than $29,000 from a Calhoun Avenue convenience store, reports stated.

According to Rome police reports:

The store’s owner told police Wednesday, March 2, an employee took $29,584.06 in lottery funds earned through sales. He said he had not seen the employee since September and had to use personal funds to pay the debt.
