Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home invasion call in progress on Wednesday night and arrested one suspect on the scene, according to a press release.

According to Bartow Co. Sheriff Clark Millsap:

Between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. last night, at least four people forced their way into a residence on Highway 20 Spur in Cartersville.

One resident was gagged and bound during the robbery.

Victims stated the robbers claimed to be looking for gold and money while inside the home.

As deputies arrived the suspects fled from the home but one suspect was caught after a brief chase.

The suspect's name has not been released, but the press release stated the suspect is from the Atlanta area.
