Summer Fun Gymnastics Camp
The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is offering a gymnastics camp July 11 through 15 from 8 am to 12 noon for ages 5-12. Each day campers will enjoy gymnastics, tumbling, games, races, arts and crafts. Gymnastics experience is not required. All activities are on-site in the new state of the art gym. The camp is taught by the RFPRA gymnastics coaching staff and costs $80. Register by Wednesday, July 6 online at rfpra.com or in-person at 1 Shorter Ave.
Introducing Parkour/Adult Gym Class
The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority is introducing Parkour/Adult Gym class starting May 31. Parkour is a non-competitive, physical discipline in which participants run along a route and negotiate obstacles using a variety of skills including jumping, climbing, vaulting, rolling, swinging and wall scaling. This class is geared for adults and runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 to 2:15 pm. The cost is $60 a month. Register in person at 1 Shorter Ave.
