One very bad inning was enough to spoil the whole evening for the Rome Braves.

Surrendering 11 runs in the fifth inning, the Braves endured a 15-2 loss to the Charleston RiverDogs on Friday night in the third game of the five-game series.

The loss for Rome (21-34) comes after the Braves had won the first two games of the road series.

Aaron Northcraft, Danilo Alvarez and Matthew Suschak combined to give up 15 runs (12 earned) in 5 2-3 innings of work for the Braves.

Robert Hefflinger hit his second homer, but the Braves had few other offensive highlights. Edward Salcedo had a double, and Kyle Rose had two hits in his first game back since being activated from the disabled list.
