Man, woman charged in prostitution case

A pair of Adairsville residents were charged with crimes linked to prostitution Friday evening at a hotel on Martha Berry Boulevard.

According to Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force and Floyd County Jail records:

Crystal Marie Mitchell, 26, of 108 Kahlahan St., was charged with felony possession of cocaine and a misdemeanor prostitution. Glenn Burris Mayo, 51, of 13 Oak Grove Lane, was charged with misdemeanor pimping.

Mitchell offered two individuals sexual favors Friday evening in exchanged for $30 each. Mayo offered to take her up on the offer.

Both individuals remained in jail late Friday night.

I'm confused.. how can he be charged with pimping when HE was supposedly going to pay HER for her services?
