The FBI arrested a Calhoun man July 15 after he allegedly traveled to Ringgold for sex with what he thought was a minor child.

According to FBI special agent Brian D. Lampkin:

Randy Greenway, 50, was arrested by FBI agents and officers with the Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force in Ringgold as part of an undercover sting operation.

Greenway had made contact with undercover officers via the Internet and traveled to Ringgold to have sexual contact with the fictitious child.

Instead, Greenway was met by FBI agents and task force officers. He faces a charge of attempted aggravated child molestation.

Greenway was taken to the Catoosa County jail and has since been released on bond.
